Fine Print
Information and Policies I would like you to know! These are also found in my contracts.
Payment
Payment is due in full before you leave your session. I accept debit card, credit card, Venmo, and cash.
Applicable Iowa sales tax will be added to your session fee.
Service area
My standard service area includes locations within 30 minutes of Downtown Des Moines
For locations more than 30 minutes outside of my standard service area, a travel fee of $0.70 per mile will apply, calculated based on round-trip travel. Any applicable travel fees will be communicated before your session.
Photo turnaround time
Your final edited gallery will be delivered within approximately 1–2 weeks after your session.
Photo storage
Your gallery will remain available for a minimum of 6 months after delivery. Please download and safely store your images during this time. I am not responsible for permanently storing or recovering images after your gallery expires.
Editing
My editing style is an important part of the photography experience. Your images will receive standard editing, including color correction, exposure adjustments, cropping, and other enhancements consistent with my style.
I do not provide extensive Photoshop retouching, including:
* Altering body shape or proportions
* Slimming or reshaping features
* Removing significant physical characteristics
* Drastic Photoshop alterations
Raw images
I carefully select the final images that are delivered to your gallery based on technical quality, composition, and artistic consistency.
Not every image taken during your session will be delivered. RAW files, unedited images, and rejected images are not provided.
Before booking, I encourage you to look through my portfolio to make sure my style is a good fit for you.
I will use my artistic judgment throughout your session, including decisions regarding posing, composition, editing, and the overall aesthetic of your gallery.
Because photography is an artistic service, differences in artistic preference or aesthetic judgment are not considered grounds for cancellation or a refund.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule your session at no cost by providing written notice before your scheduled session date.
You may reschedule one time without an additional fee. Additional rescheduling requests may be subject to a new session fee or other charges.
If you cancel without providing notice beforehand or do not attend your scheduled session, any fees already paid may be retained.
Rescheduling is always subject to my availability.
Weather & Outdoor Sessions
For outdoor sessions, we will communicate about weather conditions that could affect your session.
I may recommend rescheduling if conditions are unsafe or likely to significantly impact the session, including severe storms, extreme temperatures, dangerous travel conditions, or other safety concerns.
The final decision regarding weather-related rescheduling will be made by the Photographer.
Late Arrivals
Your scheduled session time includes your entire photography appointment.
If you arrive late, your session may need to be shortened so that it does not interfere with other scheduled clients. I am not obligated to extend your session time or provide additional images because of a late arrival.
